Using the site

The North Game is free to play in a browser. Using it means you accept these terms and the Privacy page. If you do not, do not use the site.

The site is intended for people aged 13 and over. It is offered as a general-audience site and is not directed at younger children.

What you may do

• Play every expedition, as much as you like, without an account or a payment.
• Stream, record and write about the games, including commercially — no permission needed.
• Link to any page here.

What you may not do

• Copy the game engines, artwork or copy and republish them as your own.
• Re-host the site, in whole or in part, or frame it as though it were yours.
• Attack the service — scraping at a rate that degrades it, probing it, or attempting to disrupt it for others.
• Strip out or work around the notices on this page.

Ownership

All six games, every engine, all artwork and all copy on this site are original works owned by ROCKET 5 STUDIOS INC. — no trademarked title, character or named mechanic belonging to anyone else is used. Your rights under these terms are a licence to play, not a transfer of ownership.

If you believe something here infringes your rights, write to hello@thenorthgame.com with enough detail to identify the work and we will act on it.

Scores, records and progression

Leaderboards on this site are local. They record what you did on the device you are reading this on, and nothing more — they are not a global ranking, they are not verified, and no score here is a claim about anyone else's performance. Nothing on this site is a competition, a contest or a game of chance, and there is no prize.

Records live only in your browser. Clearing your site data, switching browser or using private mode loses them, and we cannot recover them because we never had them.

Conditions are simulated

The weather readout — sky, temperature, wind, visibility, aurora index — is generated by the site from the current fifteen-minute interval. It is a scoring mechanic dressed as an instrument panel. It is not a forecast, it is not observed data, and it must not be relied on for any decision about actually going outside.

No warranty, and the limit of our liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, ROCKET 5 STUDIOS INC. is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including lost records or lost progress. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where this site links to somewhere else, that site is not ours and these terms stop at the link. We are not responsible for what you find there.

Changes, governing law and contact

These terms may be updated; the effective date at the top changes when they are, and continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version. They are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and its courts have jurisdiction.
